LEARN THROUGH EXPERIENCE
Less abstract. More practical.
Four interactive experiences to see the concepts at work.
Free educational laboratories · No wallet, no real transactions, no secrets to seize.
One character changes. Everything changes.
Change the first block’s transaction, then recalculate the hashes. The references in subsequent blocks change as well.
BLOCK 01
Click Calculate to get a SHA-256 print.
BLOCK 02
Click Calculate to get a SHA-256 print.
Includes block footprint 1 in his data.
BLOCK 03
Click Calculate to get a SHA-256 print.
Includes block footprint 2 in his data.
What experience shows
A hash identifies content with a very high probability. Hash references make changes detectable.
Recalculation remains possible: consensus is needed to protect the shared history.
This demo uses SHA-256. It is not a complete implementation of Bitcoin or Ethereum.
